Lee Moraschi
Even though he was ambitious and driven, Lee Moraschi didn’t realise that when he became an apprentice roof tiler at age 17, the foundations for his future were being laid.
Determined to be successful and with his roof tiling license proudly in hand, Lee made a conscious decision to spend the next few years listening hard and learning from the best in the industry.
After working on the Gold Coast and in country New South Wales for nine years to gain as much experience as possible, Lee moved to Canberra in 2001 with a view to starting his own business. Developing a family business was very important to Lee, he wanted to create something that he could build on for future generations.
As a husband, and father the importance of having a secure roof overhead was never far from his mind.
Moraschi Roofing began in 2002 as a one-man operation. The business grew steadily, and in 2009 Lee attained his metal roofing licence, opened the first formal Moraschi Roofing office at the McKellar shopping centre, employed staff and generally expanded the business.
In 2012 Lee moved the business to Queanbeyan where staffing numbers continued to grow. The Moraschi team now includes four full-time office staff, as well as a number of supervisors, labourers’ and sub contractors.
Moraschi Roofing also has a dedicated truck for delivery services.

Trudie Moraschi
Lee Moraschi believes one of the smartest moves he’s ever made was employing, his now wife, Trudie to head up the administrative team.
A talented bookkeeper and born organiser, Trudie added a new dimension to Moraschi Roofing when she joined the team in 2006.
They learned early on that while you can teach people skills, you can’t teach values or mindset. So Lee and Trudie consciously surrounded themselves with a fabulous, hardworking, fully engaged team with a collective positive attitude.
In 2010 with their vision and purpose clearly aligned, this formidable duo took Moraschi Roofing to the next level. The business grew immensely as did the company’s rock solid reputation for uncompromising quality.
The key to this highly successful partnership is that they realise that happiness is central to any successful business. ‘Happy’ is without doubt Moraschi Roofing’s competitive advantage.
